Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) (explained the reason for his extreme happiness and pleasure) saying: Hadhrat Jibraeel (Alaihis Salaam) came to me and said: \u201cShould I not mention to you something that will please you, O Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), (Allah Ta\u2019ala says) that the one who recites durood upon you once, I send ten mercies upon him, and the one who recites salaam upon you once, I send ten blessings upon Him.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Adding \u2018Salaam\u2019 in the Durood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Abu Sulaimaan Harraani (rahimahullah) says:<\/p>\n<p>I once saw Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) in a dream and he said to me, \u201cO Abu Sulaimaan, when you copy Ahaadith and my name is mentioned, I notice that you suffice on \u2018Salaat\u2019 and you do not send \u2018Salaam\u2019 upon me. Salaam (i.e. Wasallam) is a four-letter word, and for every letter, one will receive a tenfold reward (amounting to forty additional rewards).
