Hazrat Abdur Rahmaan bin Auf (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports: On one occasion, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) left his home and I followed him, until he entered a date orchard and fell into prostration. Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) made such a lengthy sajdah that I feared that Allah Ta\u2018ala had taken away his life. I thus went forward to see if anything had happened to Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then raised his blessed head from sajdah and asked me what the matter was, to which I expressed to him my fear and worry (of him passing away in sajdah). Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201c(The reason for me making such a lengthy sajdah was that) Hazrat Jibraeel (\u2018alaihis salaam) came to me and said, \u201cShall I not give you the glad tidings that Allah Ta\u2018ala says, \u2018The one who recites Durood upon you, I send My mercy upon him, and the one who recites salaam upon you, I send peace and blessings upon him.<\/em><\/p>\n

Always writing Durood upon the name of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abul Hasan Maymooni (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) says, \u201cI once saw my ustaad Abu Ali (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) in a dream. I noticed that something was written on his fingers in gold or saffron. I asked him, \u2018O Abu Ali, what is this?\u2019 He replied, \u2018Whenever I came across the name of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) while copying down Ahaadith, I used to write \u2018Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam\u2019.
