Hadhrat Abu Dardaa (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: \u201cThe one who recites durood upon me ten times in the morning, and ten times in the evening, will receive my intercession on the day of Qiyaamah.<\/em><\/p>\n

Durood Coming to One\u2019s Assistance at the Time of Need<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sheikh Shibli (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) once narrated the following: \u201cOne of my neighbours passed away. It was not long thereafter that I happened to see him in a dream and asked him, \u201cHow did the reckoning fare with you?\u201d He replied, \u201cO Shibli, indeed I underwent a great ordeal. Even at the time of the interrogation by the angels Munkar and Nakeer, I experienced hardship and difficulty. I then thought to myself, \u201cO Allah, why am I suffering such hardship? Did I not die on Islam?\u201d I then heard a voice from the unseen saying, \u201cThis difficulty is all due to the misuse of your tongue in this world.\u201d When I was about to be punished, a handsome person in the most beautiful form came to my rescue and safeguarded me from the angels of punishment. The most beautiful fragrance emanated from him. He dictated to me the answers of the angels and as he dictated I answered the questions. Thereupon I asked him, \u2018May Allah Ta\u2019ala shower His mercy upon you. Who are you?\u2019 He replied, \u2018I am that person who had been created from the great number of durood that you had recited upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). I have been commanded to hasten to your assistance at the time you are in need.\u2019\u201d (Fazaail Durood)<\/p>\n

The Durood of Imaam Shaafi\u2019ee (Rahmatullahi Alaihi)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ibn Bunaan Asbahaani (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) says: \u201cI once saw Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in a dream and asked him, \u2018O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), has any special honour been granted to Muhammad ibn Idrees Shaafi\u2019ee (Rahmatullahi Alaihi), who is the son of your \u2018uncle\u2019? (\u2018Uncle\u2019 has been mentioned because Imaam Shaafi\u2019ee\u2019s ancestory meets Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)\u2019s ancestory at Abd Yazeed ibn Hishaam. Hishaam was the great grandfather of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)). Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: \u201cYes indeed. I have supplicated to Allah Ta\u2019ala that he be saved from the reckoning on the day of Qiyaamah.\u201d I then asked, \u201cO Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), on account of which deed did he become worthy of such a favour?\u201d Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: \u201cIt is because he has recited such a durood upon me that no one else had ever recited.\u201d I then enquired: \u201cO Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), what is that durood?\u201d Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied:<\/p>\n

O Allah Ta\u2019ala! Bestow special mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) equivalent to the number of times that all those remember him, and bestow special mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) equivalent to the number of times that all those forget to remember him.\u00a0<\/em>(Fazaail Durood)<\/p>\n
