Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cThe person who will be closest to me (and most deserving of my intercession) on the day of Qiyaamah will be the one who used to recite the most Durood upon me in the world.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Fragrant Smell Due to Abundant Durood<\/strong><\/p>\n

The son-in-law of Moulana Faizul Hasan Saharanpuri (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) once mentioned to Hadhrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) that upon the demise of Moulana Faizul Hasan (Rahmatullahi Alaihi), a fragrant, sweet smell used to spread forth from his room. This continued for an entire month after his demise. When he related this condition to Moulana Qaasim Naanotwi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) he remarked, \u201cThis is the blessing of the durood he used to recite upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Moulana Faizul Hasan Saheb (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) had accustomed himself during his lifetime to recite abundant durood upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), particularly on a Friday night (i.e. the night preceding Friday).
