Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu Anhu) narrates that once Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) enquired from the Sahaabah (Radhiallahu Anhum): “Who amongst you is fasting today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I am fasting today.” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then enquired: “Who amongst you had visited the sick today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I had visited a sick person today.” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) further enquired: “Which of you had participated in a Janaazah today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I had participated in a Janaazah today.” Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then asked, “Which of you has fed a poor person today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied:  “I have fed a poor person today.”<\/em><\/p>\n
