Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cThe salaah performed after making miswaak is seventy times more virtuous than the salaah performed without making miswaak.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Miswaak purifies the mouth and earns the pleasure of Allah Ta\u2018ala.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cMiswaak is a means of purifying the mouth, and a means of earning the pleasure of Allah <\/em>Ta\u2018ala.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Ayyoob Ansaari (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cFour actions are from the sunnats of all the Ambiyaa <\/em>(\u2018alaihimus salaam); adopting hayaa (modesty in all spheres of human living), applying itr, using the miswaak, and making nikaah (getting married).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

4. Apart from pleasing Allah Ta\u2018ala, using the miswaak also causes the malaa\u2019ikah (angels) to be happy and also contains numerous health benefits.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cUse the miswaak, for it purifies the mouth, is a means of pleasing Allah Ta\u2018ala, a cause of pleasure to the malaa\u2019ikah (angels), increases good deeds, it is from the sunnah practices, sharpens the eyesight, helps in removing scurvy (a disease affecting the gums), strengthens the gums, removes phlegm and gives the mouth a good smell.\u201d In some narrations, it has also been mentioned that using the miswaak helps the stomach and improves digestion.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
