Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) narrates that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cWhoever recites the following (Durood), he will (engage and) tire seventy angels (in recording the reward of the Durood recited) for a thousand days.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

May Allah Ta’ala reward Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) on our behalf as he is worthy (i.e. a reward that befits his esteemed position).<\/em><\/p>\n

The Love of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) for his Ummah<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been recorded in \u201cMawaahib Ladunniyah\u201d from \u201cTafseer Qushairy\u201d that on the day of Judgement, a believer shall appear for reckoning with a small measure of righteous deeds. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) shall appear, and place on the side of the righteous deeds, a small piece of paper that will be the size of the tip of one\u2019s finger. The result will be that the scale of good deeds will far outweigh the evil deeds.<\/p>\n

Seeing this, the believer will exclaim, \u201cMay my mother and father be sacrificed for your sake, who are you? How beautiful is your physical appearance, and how sublime is your conduct!\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) shall answer, \u201cVerily I am your Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). This which I have placed on your scale is the Salaat and Salaam that you used to recite upon me during your lifetime. Now I have come to your aid and assistance at your time of need.\u201d (Sharhuz Zurqaani Alal Mawaahib 12\/359)<\/em><\/p>\n

Glad Tidings from the Side of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Muhammad Utbi (rahimahullah) relates:<\/p>\n

I entered Madinah Munawwarah, and presented myself before the mubaarak grave of Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Subsequently, I had seen a villager arrive. He seated his camel at the door of the Musjid and presented himself before the mubaarak grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). He offered his Salaam with utmost humility and love, and supplicated to Allah Ta\u2018ala in dua in a beautiful way.<\/p>\n

He then said, \u201cO Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), may my parents be sacrificed for you! Indeed, Allah Ta\u2018ala had divinely selected you as his final messenger and revealed wahi (revelation of the Qur\u2019aan Majeed) to you. He revealed to you such a unique book (the Qur\u2019an Majeed), that encompasses the knowledge of the former and the latter Ambiyaa and Rasuls (\u2018alaihimus salaam). Allah Ta\u2018ala has stated in the Qur\u2019an Majeed, and His word is the truth:<\/p>\n

And if, they (the servants of Allah Ta\u2018ala) after wronging themselves (through committing sins), had come to you, [O Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)], and begged Allah Ta\u2018ala\u2019s forgiveness, and the Messenger had sought forgiveness on their behalf, they would have surely found Allah Ta\u2018ala Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.<\/em><\/p>\n

The villager then said, \u201cO Nabi of Allah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), I have come to your grave in compliance with the verse of Allah Ta\u2018ala. I admit that I have wronged myself by committing excessive sins and I beg you to intercede on my behalf before Allah Ta\u2018ala.\u201d He then turned to the mubaarak grave and poured out his heart reciting the following couplets:<\/p>\n

O the greatest from all those who are buried beneath the earth! From the splendid fragrance emitting from your mubaarak limbs, the mountains and plains become fragranced.<\/em><\/p>\n

You are that Nabi whose intercession is hoped for at the crucial moment when the feet will slip on the bridge over Jahannum (i.e. the pul siraat)<\/em><\/p>\n

\u0646\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0633\u0650\u064a\u0652 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0641\u0650\u062f\u064e\u0627\u0621\u064f \u0644\u0650\u0642\u064e\u0628\u0652\u0631\u064d \u0623\u064e\u0646\u0652\u062a\u064e \u0633\u064e\u0627\u0643\u0650\u0646\u064f\u0647\u064f ** \u0641\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0639\u064e\u0641\u064e\u0627\u0641\u064f \u0648\u064e\u0641\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u062c\u064f\u0648\u0652\u062f\u064f \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0644\u0652\u0643\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0645\u064f<\/p>\n

May my life be sacrificed for that grave wherein you are residing, in it is buried the embodiment of purity, nobility and generosity.<\/em><\/p>\n

I will never forget your two illustrious companions (Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar [radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma]) as long as the pen (of taqdeer) continues writing. May salutations and salaams be conveyed to you all from my side.<\/p>\n

After reciting these beautiful words in praise and honour of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the villager mounted his conveyance and began to leave. Muhammad Utbi (the narrator of the incident) says, \u201cI was overcome by sleep, and in a vision, I was blessed with the vision of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) addressed me saying, \u2018O Utbi! Hasten towards the villager and give him the glad tidings from my side that Allah Ta\u2018ala has forgiven his sins.\u2019\u201d (Al Qowl-ul-Badee pg. 342)<\/p>\n
