On arriving in Bayt-ul-Maqdis, Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) dismounted from the buraaq. Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then tied the buraaq to the iron ring on which all the previous Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) would tie their conveyances (when they would come to Musjid-ul-Aqsa). According to some narrations, Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) made a hole in a stone using his finger and then tied the buraaq.<\/p>\n

It is possible to reconcile between these two narrations by saying that both Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) had tied the buraaq together. As far as Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) making the hole in the stone is concerned, then it is possible that through time passing, the iron ring had been covered with sand and had become stone. Hence, Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) used his finger to remove the stone and uncover it the iron ring so that the buraaq could be tied to it.<\/p>\n

Thereafter Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) entered Musjid-ul-Aqsa and performed two rakaats of Tahiyyat-ul-Musjid. In one Hadith, it is reported that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cI, and Jibreel, both entered the musjid and we both performed two rakaats of salaah.\u201d<\/p>\n

On this auspicious occasion of the arrival of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the other Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) were already present and were awaiting his arrival. Nabi Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam), Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) and Nabi Isa (\u2018alaihis salaam) were also present among these Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam).<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, a large number of people gathered in Musjid-ul-Aqsa. A mu\u2019azzin called out the azaan and then called out the iqaamah, and the congregation formed the saffs (rows) for salaah. However, the entire congregation was waiting to see who would lead them in salaah.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) mentioned, \u201cAt that moment, Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) held my hand and led me forward. I then led all of them in salaah. When I completed the salaah, Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) asked me, \u2018Do you know who you led in salaah?\u2019 I replied, \u2018No, I do not know.\u2019 Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied, \u2018All the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) who were sent before you – every single one of them performed salaah behind you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to another narration, even the angels descended from the heavens on this occasion. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then led all the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) and the angels in salaah.<\/p>\n

Upon the completion of the salaah, the angels asked Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam), \u201cWho is person who is with you?\u201d Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied, \u201cThis is Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the seal of all the Prophets.\u201d The angels asked, \u201cHas he been summoned and called by Allah Ta\u2018ala (and thus he is on his journey to the heavens)?\u201d When Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied in the affirmative, the angels said, \u201cMay Allah Ta\u2018ala keep him alive and well. He is a wonderful brother and excellent vicegerent. (In other words, he is our brother and the vicegerent of Allah Ta\u2018ala)\u201d<\/p>\n

Thereafter, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) met with the souls of the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam). Each one of them praised and glorified Allah Ta\u2018ala in a unique manner.<\/p>\n

Insha Allah, we will next discuss the praises of the different Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam).<\/p>\n
