On returning from Taa\u2019if, as Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) came close to Makkah Mukarramah, Hazrat Zaid bin Haarithah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) asked him, \u201cHow will you enter Makkah when the people of Makkah have exiled you from the city?\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201cO Zaid! Allah Ta\u2018ala will definitely bring about some solution from this predicament. Allah Ta\u2018ala Himself is the Protector and Supporter of His deen, and He will certainly grant His Nabi dominance over all the people.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) reached the cave of Hira, he sent a message to Akhnas bin Shuraiq asking, \u201cDo you grant me amnesty and protection to enter Makkah Mukarramah?\u201d Akhnas responded saying, \u201cI am an ally of the Quraish, hence I cannot grant you amnesty and protection.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) thereafter sent a message to Suhail bin \u2018Amr, requesting him for amnesty and protection to enter Makkah Mukarramah. Suhail replied, \u201cThe clan of Banu \u2018Aamir cannot grant amnesty and protection in opposition of the clan of Banu Ka\u2019b.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then sent a message to Mut\u2019im bin \u2018Adiyy asking, \u201cDo you grant me amnesty and protection to enter Makkah Mukarramah?\u201d Mut\u2019im accepted the request of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and agreed to grant him amnesty and protection.<\/p>\n
He thus gathered his sons and his clan and instructed them to arm themselves and stand at the door of the haram. He informed them saying, \u201cI have granted amnesty and protection to Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u201d He then mounted his camel and came to the haram where he stood and called out to the people saying, \u201cO people of the Quraish! I have granted amnesty and protection to Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), so no person should interfere with him!\u201d<\/p>\n
Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then entered the haram, kissed the Hajar-e-Aswad, performed tawaaf of the Ka\u2019bah and performed two rakaats of salaah. He then proceeded to his home with Mut\u2019im and his sons escorting him and protecting him.<\/p>\n
On account of Mut\u2019im showing this kindness to Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had mentioned the following on the occasion of Badr, regarding the disbelievers taken as prisoners:<\/p>\n
