Hence, they immediately questioned the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) and asked, \u201cWhy did you not prostrate before the Emperor?\u201d According to another narration, the Emperor himself asked them why they did not prostrate before him.<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Ja\u2019far (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) replied, \u201cWe do not prostrate before anyone besides Allah Ta\u2018ala. Allah Ta\u2018ala has sent a Rasul to us and he instructed us not to prostrate to anyone but Allah Ta\u2018ala.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The other Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) further mentioned, \u201cWe Muslims also greet Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) in this manner with salaam, and we greet one another with salaam. Our Rasul (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) also informed us that the inhabitants of Jannah will greet each other with salaam. As for prostrating before anyone \u2013 may Allah Ta\u2018ala save us from prostrating before anyone besides him, and may Allah Ta\u2018ala save us from equating you to Him through prostrating before you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum), Najaashi then enquired, \u201cWhat is this new religion which you have chosen to follow that is different to Christianity and idol worship?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In response to the Emperor\u2019s enquiry, Hazrat Ja\u2019far (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) stood to address the court on behalf of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum).<\/p>\n<p>(Extracted from Seeratul Mustafa 1\/249-250)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) entered the royal court, they sufficed on making salaam and did not prostrate before the Emperor (as was the norm).
