He was overcome with fear and concern that he should not make a mistake while reporting from Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), and he should not mistakenly attribute something to Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) which he did not say.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for his fear and concern was that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) mentioned in his Mubaarak Hadith, \u201cThe person who fabricates something and attributes it to me, then let him prepare his abode in the fire of Jahannum.\u201d <em>(Saheeh Bukhaari #107)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hazrat \u2018Amr bin Maimoon (rahimahullah) once described the great caution of Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) when he would report Ahaadith from Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
