Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) went to the house with some of his Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum). When the food was served, it was noticed that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was chewing a morsel, but it would simply not go down his throat. He said, \u201cIt seems that this goat has been slaughtered without the permission of its owner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman said, \u201cO Nabi of Allah! I had sent someone to buy a goat for me from a flock, but he could not obtain (a suitable) one. My neighbour had also recently purchased a goat, so I sent some money to his home to buy the goat from him. However, my neighbour was not at home, so his wife sold the goat to me and sent it to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) instructed her to feed the meat to the prisoners of war.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It has been seen in the lives of many pious Muslims that doubtful food would simply not go down their throats, so this is not such a surprising thing in the case of Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), who is the most pious of all people.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Fazaa\u2019il-e-A\u2019maal [Urdu] pg. 56-57)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The habits and ways of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) are worthy of being emulated, as they were the people specially chosen by Allah Ta\u2018ala to be the companions of His beloved Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).
