From among the entire creation, the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) possessed the greatest level of Islam. They were divinely chosen by Allah Ta\u2019ala for the guidance of humanity and were sent to the world to teach people how to live their lives like true and upright Muslims.<\/p>\n

Each and every Nabi was an embodiment and personification of the complete Islam. However, from among all the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam), the Nabi whom Allah Ta\u2019ala bestowed with the highest level of Islam was none other than our beloved Rasul, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafaa (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n

Hence, from the entire galaxy of the Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam), Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) is the greatest Rasul and Nabi. He is the pinnacle of Allah Ta\u2019ala\u2019s creation and the most beloved to Allah Ta\u2019ala. He is the seal of prophethood on account of the series of Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) ending with him, and he is the imaam and leader of all the Ambiyaa and Rasuls (\u2018alaihimus salaam) that came in the world.<\/p>\n

After our beloved Rasul, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafaa (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the Nabi who is second in rank – who possessed the highest level of Islam after Hazrat Muhammad Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) \u00a0– is Hazrat Nabi Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam).<\/p>\n

Allaamah Suyooti (rahimahullah) has mentioned that all the Ulama are unanimous on the fact that after the rank of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) is the rank of Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam).<\/p>\n

After Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam), the Ulama explain that it is either Nabi Moosa (\u2018alaihis salaam), or Nabi Isa (\u2018alaihis salaam) or Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam) who comes next in rank. However, there is no consenus as to which of the three is third in rank. Nevertheless, after these three Ambiyaa (i.e. Nabi Moosa (\u2018alaihis salaam), Nabi Isa (\u2018alaihis salaam) and Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam)), the position of all the other Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) will come without any specification of their ranks. (Tafseer Ibnu Katheer 5\/88, Itmaamud Diraayah Pg. 17)<\/p>\n

In numerous verses of the Qur\u2019aan Majeed, Allah Ta\u2019ala praises Nabi Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) for his beautiful and superb qualities. Below we will explain some of the sterling qualities of Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) which have been extolled in the Qur\u2019aan Majeed.<\/p>\n

The Beautiful and Praiseworthy Qualities of Nabi Ebrahim <\/strong>(\u2018alaihis salaam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Possessing the Praiseworthy Qualities of an Entire Ummah<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) possessed the praiseworthy qualities of an entire nation and he always remained devoted and obedient to Allah Ta\u2019ala.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala says:<\/p>\n

\u0627\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e\u00a0 \u0627\u0650\u0628\u06e1\u0631\u0670\u06c1\u0650\u06cc\u06e1\u0645\u064e \u06a9\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e\u06c3\u064b\u00a0 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0646\u0650\u062a\u064b\u0627 \u0644\u0651\u0650\u0644\u0651\u0670\u06c1\u0650 \u062d\u064e\u0646\u0650\u06cc\u06e1\u0641\u064b\u0627 \u0615 \u0648\u064e \u0644\u064e\u0645\u06e1 \u06cc\u064e\u06a9\u064f \u0645\u0650\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u06e1\u0645\u064f\u0634\u06e1\u0631\u0650\u06a9\u0650\u06cc\u06e1\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u06f1\u06f2\u06f0\ufd3e\u06d9<\/p>\n

Indeed, Nabi Ebrahim <\/em>(\u2018alaihis salaam)<\/em> was an ummah (a comprehensive leader who possessed the praiseworthy qualities of an entire nation), devoutly obedient to Allah Ta\u2019ala, completely inclining towards the truth (without any deviation), and he was not among the mushriks (those who ascribe partners to Allah Ta\u2019ala). <\/em>(Surah Nahl v. 120)<\/em><\/p>\n

In this verse, one of the qualities of Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) which Allah Ta\u2019ala praised was his quality of being \u2018haneef\u2019. \u2018Haneef\u2019 refers to one who remains upright in his devotion and loyalty at all times, without even the slightest inclination to falsehood and evil.<\/p>\n

Always Remaining Grateful to Allah Ta\u2019ala for His Favours<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) always remained grateful to Allah Ta\u2019ala for the favours Allah Ta\u2019ala had granted him in deen and the dunya.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala mentions his gratefulness, and how Allah Ta\u2019ala had divinely selected and chosen him to be among the Rasuls, and how Allah Ta\u2019ala guided him to the straight path.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala says:<\/p>\n

\u0634\u064e\u0627\u06a9\u0650\u0631\u064b\u0627\u00a0 \u0644\u0651\u0650\u0627\u064e\u0646\u06e1\u0639\u064f\u0645\u0650\u06c1\u0656 \u0615 \u0627\u0650\u062c\u06e1\u062a\u064e\u0628\u0670\u06c1\u064f \u0648\u064e \u06c1\u064e\u062f\u0670\u0649\u06c1\u064f\u00a0 \u0627\u0650\u0644\u0670\u06cc \u00a0\u0635\u0650\u0631\u064e\u0627\u0637\u064d \u00a0\u0645\u0651\u064f\u0633\u06e1\u062a\u064e\u0642\u0650\u06cc\u06e1\u0645\u064d \u00a0\ufd3f\u06f1\u06f2\u06f1\ufd3e<\/p>\n

(He was) grateful for His favours (i.e. the favours of Allah Ta\u2019ala). Allah divinely selected him and guided him to the straight path. <\/em>(Surah Nahl v. 121)<\/em><\/p>\n

Being<\/strong> Blessed with Divine Favour and Goodness in this World<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala explains how He had granted Hazrat Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) His divine favour and goodness in this life, and decreed that he will be among the chosen servants in the Hereafter.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala says:<\/p>\n

\u0648\u064e \u0627\u0670\u062a\u064e\u06cc\u06e1\u0646\u0670\u06c1\u064f\u00a0 \u0641\u0650\u06cc \u0627\u0644\u062f\u0651\u064f\u0646\u06e1\u06cc\u064e\u0627 \u062d\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0646\u064e\u06c3\u064b \u0615 \u0648\u064e \u00a0\u0627\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e\u06c1\u0657\u00a0 \u0641\u0650\u06cc \u0627\u0644\u06e1\u0627\u0670\u062e\u0650\u0631\u064e\u06c3\u0650\u00a0 \u00a0\u0644\u064e\u0645\u0650\u0646\u064e \u00a0\u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u0670\u0644\u0650\u062d\u0650\u06cc\u06e1\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u06f1\u06f2\u06f2\ufd3e\u0615<\/p>\n

We bestowed him with goodness in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous. <\/em>(Surah Nahl v. 122)<\/em><\/p>\n

Being Blessed with Leadership After Passing All Tests with Distinction<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nabi Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) was tested by Allah Ta\u2019ala with various trials and tribulations, and he passed every test with distinction. Hence, Allah Ta\u2019ala blessed him with the lofty position and mantle of leadership.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala says:<\/p>\n

\u0648\u064e \u0627\u0650\u0630\u0650 \u0627\u0628\u06e1\u062a\u064e\u0644\u0670\u06e4\u06cc\u00a0 \u0627\u0650\u0628\u06e1\u0631\u0670\u06c1\u0656\u0645\u064e\u00a0 \u0631\u064e\u0628\u0651\u064f\u06c1\u0657 \u0628\u0650\u06a9\u064e\u0644\u0650\u0645\u0670\u062a\u064d \u0641\u064e\u0627\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0645\u0651\u064e\u06c1\u064f\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0615 \u0642\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e \u0627\u0650\u0646\u0651\u0650\u06cc\u06e1 \u062c\u064e\u0627\u0639\u0650\u0644\u064f\u06a9\u064e \u0644\u0650\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0633\u0650\u00a0 \u0627\u0650\u0645\u064e\u0627\u0645\u064b\u0627<\/p>\n

And (remember) when his Rabb tested Nabi Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) with various commands, then he completed all of them (i.e. he passed all the tests).
