There are so many narrations of this nature found in the kitaabs of Hadith that to gather and present all the narrations is difficult. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) mentioned, \u201cPoverty is the gift of a believer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) Refuses the Offer to Have the Mountains Transformed into Gold for Him<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cMy Rabb offered me the choice of turning the mountains of Makkah into gold for me, but I responded saying, \u2018O, Allah! I prefer to eat one day and go hungry the next day, so that when I am hungry, I will turn to You and remember You, and when I am satiated, I will be grateful to You and praise You!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was the condition of our beloved Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) whom we claim to follow and claim to be among his ummah.
