Dua is the soul and essence of all ibaadaat (and the means to solve all problems).<\/p>\n<p>I wish to explain an important point. When a person recites a wazeefah with the aim of fulfilling some need, then a sense of confidence is created within his heart and he begins to feel that since we have adopted this means to solve the problem, we have control over the situation and positive results should be forthcoming.<\/p>\n<p>On the contrary, when one turns to Allah Ta\u2018ala in sincere dua and begs Him to remove one\u2019s difficulty, then through dua, one\u2019s heart is overwhelmed with the feeling of abdiyyat (being a slave of Allah Ta\u2018ala and completely in need of Him). One feels to himself that we are placing our needs before Allah Ta\u2018ala and begging of Him (and it is only Him upon whom we can rely for our needs to be fulfilled).
