In schools and universities, students are taught the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s theory of evolution as an important part of their education. Students are also instructed to write on these theories in essays or examinations and receive marks accordingly.<\/p>\n
However, on close examination, it is clear that these theories are kufr-based and diametrically oppose the Qur\u2019aan, Hadith and the fundamental beliefs of Islam. Lamentably, these theories are glorified and presented to the students in such a convincing manner that they begin to entertain doubts in their fundamental Islamic beliefs. Hence, there are numerous cases where Muslims have sought guidance and assistance from Ulama, confessing that the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s Theory have caused them to doubt the truth of Islam.<\/p>\n
It should be borne in mind that the kuffaar including these theories in the syllabus is a calculated effort to destroy the imaan of the Muslims and spread anti-Islamic ideologies within their minds, as learning these theories has no relevance with the career one wishes to adopt in life, and nor will they assist any person in his worldly or deeni life.<\/p>\n
Once a person\u2019s belief structure collapses, then everything that he will do thereafter will not gain any acceptance by Allah Ta\u2018ala, as one\u2019s ibaadaat (acts of worship) and every good deed one carries out is based upon one\u2019s imaan. If one does not possess imaan, as his beliefs oppose the fundamental beliefs of Islam, then even though he may outwardly seem to be a believer, wearing the Islamic attire and carrying out the rituals of Islam with the Muslims, in reality, he is not a believer.<\/p>\n
Below we will first explain what the Qur\u2019aan and Ahaadith say regarding the origin of the world and how man progressed over time. Thereafter, we will show how the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s theory diametrically oppose the entire deen of Islam.<\/p>\n
From this, one will easily be able to understand that the person who believes in the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s theory cannot be a Muslim, as he does not believe in the Qur\u2019aan and the Mubaarak Ahaadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n
What the Verses of the Qur\u2019aan and the Ahaadith say About the Creation<\/strong><\/p>\n Allah Ta\u2018ala is the Creator and Sustainer of every creation in the universe. Everything in the universe, be it the galaxies, the solar system, the stars, the planets, or the earth and everything it contains, from the living creations such as man and animals, or the lifeless creations such as rocks and water – all are the creation of Allah Ta\u2018ala.<\/p>\n The purpose for Allah Ta\u2018ala creating every creation in the entire universe is so that they serve man, but Allah Ta\u2018ala created man for His worship. Worshipping Allah Ta\u2018ala means for man to recognize Allah Ta\u2018ala, fulfil His commands, utilize all the things in the world to uphold His deen, and live his life in accordance to the Shari\u2019ah of Islam. (<\/em>Surah Baqarah v. 29 & Surah Zaariyaat v.56)<\/em><\/p>\n After Allah Ta\u2018ala created Nabi Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam) and Hazrat Hawwaa (\u2018alaihas salaam) in their original forms, they remained in Jannah for some while, and thereafter, they both were sent to the world. Upon coming to the world, Allah Ta\u2018ala blessed them with children, and through their children, their progeny continued to spread in the world. (Saheeh Bukhaari #6227 & <\/em>Surah Nisaa v.1)<\/em><\/p>\n In the Qur\u2019aan Majeed, Allah Ta\u2018ala explains that He sent various Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) for the guidance of mankind. After Nabi Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam), the Nabi that was appointed over the people was Nabi Sheeth (\u2018alaihis salaam), then Nabi Idrees (\u2018alaihis salaam), and then Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam). (Surah Room v. 47 & Al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah 1\/91)<\/em><\/p>\n Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam) remained with his people, inviting them to Allah Ta\u2018ala for a period of 950 years. \u00a0<\/em>Those who believed in him numbered approximately 80, while the majority of the people disbelieved in him and opposed him. (Surah Ankaboot v. 14 & Tafseer Ibnu Katheer 4\/321)<\/em><\/p>\n Eventually, when Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam) was informed by Allah Ta\u2018ala that besides the people who had already brought imaan in him, there will be nobody else who will accept his message, then out of fear that the disbelievers should not influence the believers towards disbelief, he made dua to Allah Ta\u2018ala to destroy the disbelievers.<\/p>\n Allah Ta\u2018ala commanded Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam) to build an ark, and to take a male and female of every creation aboard the ark. He was informed by Allah Ta\u2018ala that the flood is going to destroy the disbelievers and every creation on earth. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Then came the time when Allah Ta\u2018ala sent rain from above, and water gushing from beneath the earth, through which the entire world was filled with water, and all those who disbelieved were drowned and destroyed. (Surah Hood v.36-44 & Surah Nooh v.26-27)<\/em><\/p>\n Those who remained with Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam) on the ark were the only people who survived, and the creation of man and animals continued through the progeny of Nabi Nooh (\u2018alaihis salaam). (Surah Saaffaat v. 77 & Tafseer Ibnu Katheer 7\/22)<\/em><\/p>\n Allah Ta\u2018ala then sent Nabi Hood (\u2018alaihis salaam) to his people, the Aad, and He sent Nabi Saalih (\u2018alaihis salaam) to his people, the Thamood. When these nations disbelieved in Allah Ta\u2018ala, then Allah Ta\u2018ala sent his azaab (divine punishment) and destroyed all the disbelievers. (Surah Shu\u2019araa v. 123-139, 141-158)<\/em><\/p>\n Thereafter, Allah Ta\u2018ala sent many Ambiyaa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) to the world for the guidance of their nations. Among these Ambiyaa were Nabi Ebrahim, Nabi Ismail, Nabi Ishaaq, Nabi Ya\u2019qoob, Nabi Yusuf, Nabi Ayyoob, Nabi Dawood, Nabi Sulaimaan, Nabi Musa, Nabi Haroon, Nabi Isa (\u2018alaihimus salaam) and others from the Bani Israaeel. (Surah An\u2019aam v.83-86)<\/em><\/p>\n Finally, the time came when Allah Ta\u2018ala sent Hazrat Muhammed Mustafa (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) to the world as the imaam of all the Ambiyaa and Rasuls, and appointed him as the final Nabi for the guidance of all mankind until the end of time. (Surah Ahzaab v. 40)<\/em><\/p>\n Rasulullah\u2019s (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) prophethood will remain forever, and there is no other Nabi to come with a new Shari\u2019ah after him. When Hazrat Nabi Isa (\u2018alaihis salaam) will come back to the world, Allah Ta\u2018ala will send him to kill Dajjaal and support the deen of Nabi Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hence, he will follow the deen of Nabi Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and guide the ummah accordingly. (Saheeh Muslim #2897)<\/em><\/p>\n What should a Muslim student in School or University do?<\/strong><\/p>\n All the above details are recorded in the Qur\u2019aan Majeed and the Mubaarak Ahaadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) which clearly show that Allah Ta\u2018ala is the Creator of everything, and the creation continued in the world through Nabi Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam) and Hazrat Hawwaa (\u2018alaihas salaam). Therefore, the person who believes in the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s theory of evolution has rejected the Qur\u2019aan Majeed and the Mubaarak Ahaadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), hence such a person cannot be a Muslim.<\/p>\n It is for this reason that a student studying in school or university should not study these theories at all, as these theories are kufr-based and go against Allah Ta\u2018ala and the deen of Islam.<\/p>\n The Qur\u2019aan Majeed explains that it is only permissible for one to utter words of kufr in the case where one is threatened with his life if he does not utter the words of kufr. In such a case also, the Qur\u2019aan Majeed says that while uttering the words of kufr to save his life, his heart should detest kufr and remain firm upon imaan. (Surah Nahl v. 106)<\/em><\/p>\n In the case of schools and universities, the purpose for the student writing about the Big Bang theory or Darwin\u2019s theory in the essay or examination is merely to acquire marks so that he can succeed in getting the school pass or university degree. This is not a valid reason for which Shari\u2019ah allows one to write or speak words of kufr.<\/p>\n Thus, if a student was present when this was discussed, or he wrote these theories in an examination or essay, then he should make taubah, and if his heart accepted it or was inclined towards accepting it, then he should renew his imaan.<\/p>\n May Allah Ta\u2018ala safeguard the imaan and deen of the ummah, and keep us firm on the sunnah at all times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In schools and universities, students are taught the Big Bang theory and Darwin\u2019s theory of evolution as an important part of their education.
