Hazrat Talhah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) was married to four wives. Each of his four wives was a sister of one of the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). It is for this reason that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said to him, \u201c(You are) my brother-in-law in this world and in the Hereafter (i.e. you will also be my brother-in-law in Jannah).\u201d (Al-Ahaadithul Mukhtaarah<\/em># <\/em>847)<\/em><\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2019ala had chosen all the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) to be his wives in this world, and Allah Ta\u2019ala had also decreed that they will be his wives in the Hereafter (in Jannah). Hence, in this Hadith, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) indicated that Hazrat Talhah\u2019s (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) wives will also be his wives in the Hereafter, thereby making Hazrat Talhah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) the brother-in-law of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) in this world and in Jannah.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Talhah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had married the following four wives who were sisters of four of the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat:<\/p>\n

  1. Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr al Siddiq, who was the sister of Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma)<\/li>\n
  2. Hamnah bint Jahsh, who was the sister of Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh\u00a0(radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma)<\/li>\n
  3. Fari\u2019ah bint Abi Sufyan, who was the sister of Hazrat Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan\u00a0(radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma)<\/li>\n
  4. Ruqayyah bint Abi Umayyah, who was the sister of Umm Salamah bint Abi Umayyah\u00a0(radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
