Once, Hazrat Talhah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) received a sum of seven hundred thousand dirhams from Hadhramawt. That night, when he lay down to sleep, he was restless, turning from side to side.<\/p>\n

Noticing his unease, his wife asked, \u201cWhat is troubling you?\u201d He replied, \u201cHow will a person be able to think about his Rabb when he has so much of wealth in his home? (i.e. I fear that this wealth will become a distraction for me and cause me to become unmindful of Allah Ta\u2019ala and His remembrance.)\u201d<\/p>\n

His respected wife suggested that he distribute the money among the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hearing this, Hazrat Talhah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) was relieved and said, \u201cMay Allah have mercy on you! You are indeed a virtuous, guided woman, and the daughter of a virtuous, guided man.\u201d She was Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).<\/p>\n

The next morning, he distributed the wealth among the Muhajireen and Ansaar Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum). Among the Sahaabah to whom he sent this wealth was Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).<\/p>\n

When his respected wife had seen him spending all the wealth upon the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum), she said to him, \u201cIs there any share for us in this wealth (to fulfil our needs)?\u201d He then told her that she may keep the remaining wealth, which was approximately one thousand dirhams. \u00a0(Siyaru A\u2019alamin Nubala 3\/24)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
