(In response), his brother or his companion should say,\u00a0\u064a\u064e\u0631\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0645\u064f\u0643\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647<\/span>. When he says\u00a0\u064a\u064e\u0631\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u0643\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647<\/span>, the one who sneezed should make dua for him For the second time, Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) asked, \u201cWho was the person who had spoken during the salaah?\u201d No one responded. (\u0633\u0646\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0631\u0645\u0630\u064a\u060c \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0642\u0645: 2740)<\/p>\n It is reported regarding Hazrat Saalim bin Ubaid (radhiyallahu anhu) that he was once on a journey with a group of people when a person among them sneezed and said \u201cAs salaamu alaikum.\u201d Hazrat Saalim bin Ubaid (radhiyallahu anhu) responded, \u201cMay peace be upon you and your mother!\u201d (On hearing this,) it seemed as though this person became upset. Therefore, Hazrat Saalim bin Ubaid (radhiyallahu anhu) told him, \u201cI only responded to you in the manner in which Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) responded (to a person who sneezed and said what you have said). Once, a person sneezed in the presence of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and said \u201cAs salaamu alaikum.\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) responded saying, \u201cMay peace be upon you and your mother!\u201d (Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) thereafter corrected the person explaining to him that he should not make salaam after sneezing, but he should praise Allah Ta’ala). Rasulullah (sallallahiu alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cWhen anyone of you sneezes, he should say\u00a0<\/em>\u0627\u064e\u0644\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u064f \u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0631\u064e\u0628\u0651\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064e\u0627\u0644\u064e\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646<\/span>\u00a0, and the one who replies to him (after hearing him sneeze) should say\u00a0<\/em>\u064a\u064e\u0631\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0643 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647<\/span>\u00a0, and the one who had sneezed should then say,\u00a0<\/em>\u064a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0644\u0650\u064a \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Hazrat Saalim (radhiyallahu anhu) emulated Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in replying to the person who said salaam upon sneezing instead of saying alhamdulillah.<\/p>\n The Muhadditheen explain that the reason for Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) replying to the person in this manner was to show him his mistake and correct him. Hence, this was not a reply to his salaam, but rather it was a dua for him and his mother.<\/p>\n He first said to the person that may peace be upon you and your mother, as she did not teach you the etiquettes of sneezing correctly.
