Justice and Blessings During the Reign of the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) <\/strong><\/p>\n

The reign of the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) will be one of justice and barakah (blessings). Since the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) will be divinely chosen by Allah Ta\u2018ala to lead the ummah before Qiyaamah, he will be divinely guided and supported by Allah Ta\u2018ala. Hence, every decision that he will pass will be filled with goodness and justice. During his rule, Allah Ta\u2018ala will bless the Muslims with abundant barakah (blessings) and will restore the might and honour of Islam in the ummah.<\/p>\n

Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cThe Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) will appear in the latter portion of my ummah. Allah Ta\u2018ala will grant him abundant barakah through causing abundant rain to fall from the sky, due to which the earth will bring forth abundant crop. He will distribute wealth justly among the Muslims, the livestock will increase and be found in abundance and the ummah will once again regain its might and honour. After being appointed by Allah Ta\u2018ala, he will live for seven or eight years.\u201d (Mustadrak Haakim #8673)<\/em><\/p>\n

The Extent of Justice and Contentment during the Reign of the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) <\/strong><\/p>\n

In some Ahaadith, it is recorded that the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) will rule with such justice and fairness that the inhabitants of the earth and the heavens will be pleased with him, and wherever he goes in the world, Allah Ta\u2018ala will cause goodness and barakah to prevail. His justice will encompass all the people and he will deal with them according to the Sunnah of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n

On account of his justice, when he will instruct a person to announce, \u201cThe one who has a need should come to me,\u201d only one person will come (as the needs of all the other people will have been fulfilled due to his just rule).<\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Sa\u2019eed Khudri (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that once, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) addressed the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) saying, \u201cI give you glad tidings of the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) coming to this ummah (before Qiyaamah)! He will be sent to this ummah at a time when differences among the ummah will be rife and earthquakes will be witnessed in the world. He will rule in such a manner that the earth will be filled with fairness and justice, just as it was previously filled with oppression and tyranny. The inhabitants of the sky and the inhabitants of the earth will be pleased with him. He will distribute wealth correctly.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Sahaabi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) then asked Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), \u201cO Rasul of Allah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)! What is the meaning of the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) distributing wealth correctly?\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201cIt means that he will distribute wealth with equality and justice between the people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then continued, \u201cAt that time, Allah Ta\u2018ala will fill the hearts of the ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) with contentment and happiness. The Mahdi\u2019s (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) rule of justice will encompass the people, until people will enjoy great blessings through him, so much so that a person will address the people saying, \u2018Which person among you is in need of wealth?\u2019 From all the people, only one man will stand up and say, \u2018I am in need of wealth!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThe person will say to him, \u2018Go to the treasurer and say to him, \u2018The Mahdi has given instructions to you to give me wealth.\u2019\u2019 When he will come to the treasurer, the treasurer will say to him, \u2018Take wealth in both your hands, as much as you wish!\u2019 The man will thus take wealth with both his hands, gathering it before him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that point, the man will regret and say, \u2018I was the most desirous for wealth from the ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)! Can that which sufficed them not suffice me?\u2019 Saying this, he will return the wealth. However, the wealth that he will wish to return to the Mahdi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) will not be accepted from him, and he will be told, \u2018That which we give, we do not take back.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThis condition of barakah will continue to prevail throughout the period of the Mahdi which is either seven, eight or nine years.\u201d (Majma\u2019uz Zawaa\u2019id #12393)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
