In the battle of Uhud, the Muslims suffered heavy losses and quite a large number of them were killed. When the news of their heavy casualties reached Madinah Munawwarah, the women came out of their homes eager to know the details of the war.<\/p>\n

On seeing the large crowd of people gathered at a certain place, a woman of the Ansaar anxiously inquired, \u201cHow is Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)?\u201d When she was told that her father was killed in the battle, she uttered \u2018Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raaji\u2019oon\u2019 and impatiently repeated the same question about Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n

This time, she was told that her husband was no more, her brother was dead and that her son too was slain. With ever-growing anxiety, she repeated the same question about the welfare of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n

She was then told that he was safe and sound, but still she would not rest contented and insisted on seeing him herself. When at last she had satisfied her eyes with his blessed sight, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cO Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), with the blessing of seeing you, every affliction is eased and every worry is removed.\u201d<\/em>[1]\u00a0<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n

The love of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) for Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A person once asked Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), \u201cHow much of love did the Sahaabah\u00a0 (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) really possess for Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)?\u201d<\/p>\n

Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) replied, \u201cI take a qasm on Allah Ta\u2018ala! Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was more beloved and dearer to us than our riches, our children and our mothers, and his company was more cherished than a drink of cold water at the time of the severest thirst.\u201d[2]<\/sup><\/p>\n
