Night and day they planned and plotted to harm the Muslims and to eliminate Islam from the face of this world.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the hijrah to Madinah Munawwarah, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) underwent severe torture and persecution at the hands of the kuffaar.<\/p>\n<p>After the hijrah to Madinah Munawwarah as well, their efforts did not abate, but continue to increase until many battles ensued between Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and the Quraish.<\/p>\n<p>Then came the time when Allah Ta\u2018ala granted Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) victory and Fath-e-Makkah (the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah) took place.<\/p>\n<p>The conquest of Makkah Mukarramah was as though the culmination of the lifelong effort and sacrifice of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). It was a time when Allah Ta\u2018ala showed Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and his illustrious Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) the fruits of their efforts materialize and the glory of Islam become evident in the world.<\/p>\n<p>According to the mufassireen, this surah was revealed in the 8th year of the hijrah shortly before Fath-e-Makkah (the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah), approximately two and a half years before Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) left the world.<\/p>\n<p>In this surah, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was given the glad tidings that soon Makkah Mukarramah would be conquered and that many tribes will embrace Islam.<\/p>\n<p>Surah Faatihah was the first complete surah to be revealed in the Qur\u2019aan Majeed, though there were certain verses that were revealed before it (e.g. the beginning verses of Surah Alaq and the beginning verses of Surah Muddassir).<\/p>\n<p>As for this surah (Surah Nasr), then it was the last complete surah of the Qur\u2019aan Majeed to be revealed, even though there were certain verses that were revealed after it.<\/p>\n<p>The mufassireen explain that among the verses that were revealed after this surah were the following verses:<\/p>\n<p>1) The verse <span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: quran; font-size: 14pt;\">(\u0627\u0644\u0652\u064a\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064e \u0623\u064e\u0643\u0652\u0645\u064e\u0644\u0652\u062a\u064f \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u062f\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652)<\/span> \u201cToday I have perfected for you your Deen\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This aayah was revealed to Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) on the plains of Arafaat, on the day of Jumuah, the 9th of Zul Hijjah, approximately eighty days before Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)\u2019s demise.<\/p>\n<p>2) The verse of kalaalah which pertained to inheritance. This verse was revealed approximately fifty days prior to Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) leaving this world.<\/p>\n<p>3) The second last verse to be revealed was the concluding verse of Surah Taubah i.e. <span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: quran; font-size: 14pt;\">(\u0644\u064e\u0642\u064e\u062f\u0652 \u062c\u064e\u0627\u0621\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0631\u064e\u0633\u064f\u0648\u0644\u064c \u0645\u0650\u0651\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u0646\u0641\u064f\u0633\u0650\u0643\u064f\u0645\u0652)<\/span> \u201cA Rasul has come to you from among yourselves\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This verse was revealed approximately thirty-five days before Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) left the world.<\/p>\n<p>4) The last verse to be revealed was <span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: quran; font-size: 14pt;\">(\u0648\u064e\u0627\u062a\u0651\u064e\u0642\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u064a\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064b\u0627 \u062a\u064f\u0631\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0639\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0641\u0650\u064a\u0647\u0650 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0640\u0647\u0650)<\/span> \u201cFear the day when you will be brought back to Allah Ta\u2019ala.\u201d (Surah Baqarah: 281)<\/p>\n<p>This verse was revealed approximately twenty-one days (and according to some narrations, seven days) before Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) departed from this world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align: center; font-family: usmaan_taha; font-size: 16pt; line-height: 38px;\">\u0648\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0623\u064e\u064a\u0652\u062a\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0627\u0633\u064e \u064a\u064e\u062f\u0652\u062e\u064f\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0641\u0650\u064a \u062f\u0650\u064a\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0650 \u0623\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0648\u064e\u0627\u062c\u064b\u0627<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And you see people entering into the Deen of Allah in multitudes. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Until the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah, many tribes were waiting to see the response of the Quraish. The reason is that the Quraish were regarded as the most honoured tribe among all the Arabs. Therefore, the rest of the Arabs waited to see what they would do.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, at the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah, after the Quraish accepted Islam, many tribes began to enter into the fold of Islam in multitudes.<\/p>\n<p>It is reported that at one time, seven hundred people entered Madinah Munawwarah to accept Islam and declare their shahaadah. People from different countries sent their delegations to Madinah Munawwarah to accept Islam and to proclaim the shahaadah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align: center; font-family: usmaan_taha; font-size: 16pt; line-height: 38px;\">\u0641\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0628\u0651\u0650\u062d\u0652 \u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u0650 \u0631\u064e\u0628\u0651\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0633\u0652\u062a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u0652\u0647\u064f<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Then glorify the praise of your Rabb and beg His forgiveness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this verse, Allah Ta\u2018ala informs Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) that when he sees the people entering into the Deen of Allah Ta\u2018ala in multitudes, then he should glorify the praises of Allah Ta\u2018ala and beg His forgiveness as his mission is about to reach completion and the time for him to leave the world is drawing close.<\/p>\n<p>Islam teaches us that the life which a person is granted by Allah Ta\u2018ala is not for the purpose of him acquiring self-recognition, worldly fame or displaying his power and might over people as is misconstrued in this day and age.<\/p>\n<p>Rather, the bounty of life granted to a person is for the purpose of showing humility before Allah Ta\u2018ala while leading a life of piety and righteousness and showing kindness, service and compassion to the creation.<\/p>\n<p>We should not be self-centred and nor should we attribute good to ourselves. Rather, we should attribute all good and every achievement to the grace and glory of Allah Ta\u2019ala.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion of Fath-e-Makkah, when Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was at the pinnacle of glory and power, he expressed the greatest humility before Allah Ta\u2018ala and attributed all victory to Allah Ta\u2018ala alone.<\/p>\n<p>The poet describes the manner in which Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) entered Makkah Mukarramah as a victorious leader on the occasion of Fath-e-Makkah. The poet says:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"font-family: 'Jameel Noori Nastaleeq'; font-size: 16pt; text-align: center;\">\u0641\u0627\u062a\u062d\u0627\u0646\u06c1 \u0645\u06a9\u06c1 \u0622\u0626\u06d2 \u0633\u0631 \u062c\u06a9\u06be\u0627\u0626\u06d2 \u0686\u0634\u0645\u0650 \u0646\u0645 \u0627\u0645\u0646 \u06a9\u0627 \u0627\u0639\u0644\u0627\u0646 \u06a9\u06cc\u0627 \u0646\u0627\u062f\u0645 \u06c1\u0648\u0626\u06d2 \u0627\u06c1\u0644 \u0648\u0637\u0646<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>He entered Makkah Mukarramah as a victorious leader, with his head lowered and tears rolling down from his Mubaarak eyes (out of humility and gratitude to Allah Ta\u2018ala). He then publicly announced general forgiveness and complete safety and amnesty for all the people of Makkah Mukarramah, (despite them being guilty of persecuting and torturing the Muslims before this. On seeing his sublime conduct,) the people of Makkah Mukarramah were remorseful and ashamed (over their previous conduct).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After entering Makkah Mukarramah, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) delivered a khutbah (public sermon), and in the khutbah, he recited the takbeer thrice and then recited the following praise of Allah Ta\u2018ala:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align: center; font-family: 'Traditional Arabic'; font-size: 16pt;\">\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0647\u064e \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0648\u064e\u062d\u0652\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f\u060c \u0635\u064e\u062f\u064e\u0642\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0639\u0652\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f\u060c \u0648\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0635\u064e\u0631\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0628\u0652\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f\u060c \u0648\u064e\u0647\u064e\u0632\u064e\u0645\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0623\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0632\u064e\u0627\u0628\u064e \u0648\u064e\u062d\u0652\u062f\u064e\u0647\u064f<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>There is no deity besides Allah Ta\u2019ala alone, who has fulfilled His promise, assisted His slave, and defeated the armies Alone.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One should ask himself that when one is in the position of power, how will he behave?<\/p>\n<p>Will he look down at people with pride and contempt, considering himself superior to them, or will he treat them with compassion, show them mercy and forgive them as Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) dealt with those who ill-treated him and his Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum)?<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, we understand from the Mubaarak conduct of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) that he did not attribute greatness and victory to himself, rather he attributed it to Allah Ta\u2018ala alone, as he understood that it is Allah Ta\u2018ala alone who brought this day of glory, honour and victory to him.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was expressing his utmost humility before Allah Ta\u2018ala, understanding that we being the servants are full of weakness and shortcomings, and it is Allah Ta\u2018ala Alone who is the Supreme Being, most perfect and eternal. He is the greatest and has no defect or deficiency in Him.<\/p>\n<p>So, in order to declare the perfection of Allah Ta\u2018ala, we are commanded to recite Subhaanallah and Alhamdulillah, and to express our helplessness and deficiency, we are commanded to recite istighfaar.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, through praising Allah Ta\u2019ala, we are declaring that He is the only Being who is Flawless and that all praise belongs to Him alone.<\/p>\n<p>And through reciting istighfaar, we are declaring that we are His sinful slaves, and thus we seek His forgiveness for our shortcomings and sins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align: center; font-family: usmaan_taha; font-size: 16pt; line-height: 38px;\">\u0641\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0628\u0651\u0650\u062d\u0652 \u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u0650 \u0631\u064e\u0628\u0651\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0627\u0633\u0652\u062a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u0652\u0647\u064f<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Then glorify the praise of your Rabb and beg His forgiveness.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Since this surah indicated towards the mission of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) reaching completion and it also indicated towards the time of his demise being close, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was directed to engage in tasbeeh (pronouncing Allah Ta\u2018ala\u2019s purity), tahmeed (pronouncing Allah Ta\u2018ala\u2019s praise and offering gratitude to him) and istighfaar (seeking forgiveness from Allah Ta\u2018ala).<\/p>\n<p>We are taught in the Mubaarak Hadith that upon the completion of any good work, we should praise Allah Ta\u2018ala for bringing the work to completion, and we should also seek His forgiveness for any shortcomings and mistakes that had occurred from our side during the course of the work.<\/p>\n<p>In essence, this surah teaches every muslim that on the culmination of every accomplishment, he should turn to Allah Ta\u2018ala by reciting tasbeeh, tahmeed and istighfaar.<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Ummu Salamah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) would say that after this surah was revealed, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) would very often recite the following zikr (praise of Allah Ta\u2018ala):<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align: center; font-family: 'Traditional Arabic'; font-size: 16pt;\">\u0633\u064f\u0628\u062d\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0623\u064e\u0633\u0652\u062a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u062a\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0628\u064f \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650<\/p>\n<p>It is reported in the Hadith that the zikr (<span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: 'Traditional Arabic'; font-size: 14pt;\">\u0633\u064f\u0628\u062d\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u0633\u064f\u0628\u062d\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064e\u0638\u0650\u064a\u0645<\/span>) will weigh most heavily on the scales on the Day of Qiyaamah.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, we should take out some time daily to recite this zikr.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) would also recite the following zikr (<span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: 'Traditional Arabic'; font-size: 14pt;\">\u0623\u064e\u0633\u0652\u062a\u064e\u063a\u0652\u0641\u0650\u0631\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u062a\u064f\u0648\u0652\u0628\u064f \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) reports that after this surah was revealed, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) used to recite <span class=\"\" style=\"font-family: 'Traditional Arabic';
