He was from the people of Banu Israa\u2019eel and was from the land of Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>One day, Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) made dua to Allah Ta\u2018ala saying, \u201cO Allah! Show me who will be my companion in Jannah!\u201d Allah Ta\u2018ala accepted the dua of Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam), and showed him a certain person and said, \u201cO Musa! Go to such-and-such city, for in that city, you will find this person who will be your companion in Jannah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) set out and travelled until he came to the city which Allah Ta\u2018ala had mentioned. When he arrived in the city, Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) met a young man, and saw that he was the same person that Allah Ta\u2018ala had shown him! This young man was going to be the companion of Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) in Jannah!<\/p>\n<p>The young man met Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) and greeted him, but he did not know that this was Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam), the great Nabi of Allah Ta\u2018ala.<\/p>\n<p>Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied to the greeting of the young man, and then asked him if he could spend the night at his home as his guest. The young man agreed and said, \u201cI am happy for you to be my guest. If you are happy to eat whatever food I have to offer you, then I am pleased to feed you as well.\u201d Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied, \u201cI am happy with whatever food you offer me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The young man was a butcher, so after he told Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) that he could be his guest, he took him to his butchery and asked him to wait until he had finished all his work for the day. As Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) waited in the young man\u2019s butcher shop, he noticed that whenever the young man came across any piece of juicy meat, he would place it on one side and keep it.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, when the young man had finished all his work for the day, he took Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) to his home. On entering his home, he took out the pieces of juicy meat that he had kept aside and cooked it.<\/p>\n<p>After the food was prepared, the young man went into one of the rooms of his house. Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) noticed that in this room were the young man\u2019s two parents who were very old and weak and could not take care of themselves.<\/p>\n<p>As Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) watched, he saw the young man go to his father and wash his face. The young man then washed his clothing and put perfume on it to make it smell nice. He then made his father wear the clean clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, he took some bread, broke it into small pieces and mixed it with the food that he had cooked. He then fed the food to his father, and when his father was full, he gave him water to drink as well.<\/p>\n<p>After the young man had taken care of his old father, by cleaning him and feeding him, his father became so happy that he made dua for him saying, \u201cO my son! May Allah Ta\u2018ala reward you for looking after me, and may He make you the companion of Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) in Jannah!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) then saw the young man go to his old mother and take care of her by cleaning her and feeding her, just as he had done with his father. His mother was also very happy with him, because he was such an obedient, caring and loving son, that she also made the same dua for him. She said, \u201cO my son! May Allah Ta\u2018ala reward you for looking after me, and may He make you the companion of Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) in Jannah!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After seeing this, Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) turned and left the home of the young man. However, the young man immediately followed Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam), because Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) was his guest, and offered him some of the food that he had prepared. As he offered the food, Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) said to him, \u201cO my brother! I do not need your food! The only reason why I came to you is that I had asked Allah Ta\u2018ala to show me my companion in Jannah, and Allah Ta\u2018ala showed me that you are the special person who will be my companion in Jannah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The young man still did not know that this person was Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam), the great Nabi of Allah Ta\u2018ala, so he asked him, \u201cTell me, who are you?\u201d Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) replied, \u201cI am Musa, the Nabi of Allah Ta\u2018ala.\u201d When he heard this, the young man was surprised.<\/p>\n<p>He entered his home, went to his parents and gave them the good news that Allah Ta\u2018ala had accepted their dua! He was going to be the companion of Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) in Jannah! He told them that the man who had come to his home as a guest was actually none other than Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) himself!<\/p>\n<p>The young man\u2019s parents were very, very happy to hear this and were excited that Allah Ta\u2018ala had accepted their dua. Soon thereafter, the old parents passed away, and Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) himself performed their janaazah salaah. After the old parents passed away, the young man joined Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) and remained in his company, benefiting and learning from him until the end of his life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lessons:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We must always make our parents happy by listening to them and showing them love. When our parents become old and they need us to help them and look after them, then we must make sure that we take good care of them and keep them comfortable at all times. If we keep our parents happy, by listening to them and keeping them comfortable, then they will make dua for us, and Allah Ta\u2018ala will accept their dua.<\/li>\n<li>When we can manage, we must try to bring guests to our homes and feed them. This will make Allah Ta\u2018ala happy and will cause our homes to be filled with barakah and blessings.<\/li>\n<li>After the young man\u2019s parents passed away, and he did not need to look after them anymore, he stayed with Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam). The reason was that Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam) was the most pious person. He knew that if he stayed with Nabi Musa (\u2018alaihis salaam), then he would also become good and pious.
