When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) entered my home, I was lying down. Seeing me lying down, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) came close to my side and then took his clothing and used it to cover me. Thereafter, on seeing my weakness, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) stood, went to the musjid and performed some nafl salaah to beseech Allah Ta\u2018ala to bless me with shifaa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>After completing the salaah, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) returned, lifted the clothing from me and addressed me saying, \u201cStand up, O the son of Abu Taalib, for you have been cured!\u201d I thus stood, and I found myself to be completely cured. I found myself in such a state that there was no sign of illness or weakness in my body.<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then said, \u201cWhenever I made du\u2018aa to Allah Ta\u2018ala, He accepted my du\u2018aa. On this occasion, when I made du\u2018aa, then I made special du\u2018aa for myself and for you, and whatever I asked for myself, I also asked for you, (including your shifaa).\u201d\u00a0<em>(Fazaa\u2019il-ul-Khulafaa li-Abi Nu\u2019aim #78)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From this incident, we see the great love that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had for Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu). Similarly, we understand that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had taught us, through his mubaarak action, that when we fall ill, then we should turn to Allah Ta\u2018ala in du\u2018aa, begging Him for shifaa, as everything lies in the control and power of Allah Ta\u2018ala.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports: On one occasion, I fell sick, and while I was sick, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) came to visit me.
