Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports, \u201cWhen you recite Durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), then recite Durood in the best of manners (i.e. with complete devotion, concentration, love and respect), for certainly you do not know that perhaps that Durood of yours will be presented before him.\u201d The students of Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) asked, \u201cTeach us how to recite Durood on Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u201d Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) replied, \u201cRecite the following:<\/p>\n

O Allah <\/em>Ta\u2018ala, shower your special blessings and mercies upon the leader of the Messengers, the Imaam of all the pious servants, and the seal of the Ambiyaa <\/em>(\u2018alaihimus salaam), Muhammad <\/em>(sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), Your servant and messenger, the Imaam of all good and virtue and the messenger of mercy. O Allah <\/em>Ta\u2018ala, elevate him to the highest of positions, and make him worthy of the position of Maqaam-e-Mahmood, in such a way that the former and the latter of the entire creation will all envy him.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

O Allah Ta\u2018ala, shower Your mercy upon Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and the family of Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), as You showered Your mercy upon Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) and the family of Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam). Indeed, You are praiseworthy and most glorious. O Allah, shower Your blessings upon Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and the family of Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), as You showered Your blessings upon Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam) and the family of Ebrahim (\u2018alaihis salaam).
