When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) entered, he heard me making the following du\u2018aa, \u201cO Allah! If the stipulated time of my death has come, then grant me relief from this illness through taking my life. If the stipulated time of my death has not come, then cure me from this illness. If this sickness is a test from You, then bless me with the ability to observe sabr (patience).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>Hearing this, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) asked me, \u201cWhat du\u2018aa have you made?\u201d I thus repeated the words of the du\u2018aa for Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then passed his blessed hand over my body and made du\u2018aa for me saying, \u201cO Allah! Cure him from this illness!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) then mentioned, \u201cOn account of the blessed du\u2018aa of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), I never again suffered from that illness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>(Musnad Ahmed #1057)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports the following: On one occasion, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) came to visit me while I was ill.
