That year, Eid-ul-Fitr fell on a Saturday, and hence Imaam Bukhaari (rahimahullah) passed away the previous night. He was buried on the day of eid, after the zuhr salaah, and he was sixty-two years old at the time of his demise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>Abdul Waahid bin Aadam (rahimahullah) mentions that the night Imaam Bukhaari (rahimahullah) passed away, he saw the following dream, \u201cI saw Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) standing in a certain place with a group of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum). I greeted him with salaam, and he replied to my salaam. I then enquired, \u2018What are you waiting for, O Rasul of Allah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)?\u2019 Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u2018I am waiting for Muhammed bin Ismaa\u2019eel Bukhaari.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At that time, Abdul Waahid (rahimahullah) did not have knowledge of the demise of Imaam Bukhaari (rahimahullah). Hence, he mentions, \u201cA few days after seeing the dream, I received the news that Imaam Bukhaari (rahimahullah) had passed away.
