Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas\u2019ood (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) has mentioned, \u201cWhen any of you intends to make dua to Allah Ta\u2018ala, then he should commence his dua by praising and glorifying Allah Ta\u2018ala with praises that are befitting His majesty and honour. He should then send Durood (salutations) upon Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), and he should thereafter make dua, as (through following this method of making dua,) it is more likely that he will be successful (in his dua being answered).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Tree that made Salaam to Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ya\u2019laa bin Murrah Thaqafee (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports:<\/p>\n

We were once travelling with Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) when we halted at a certain place. After halting, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) went to sleep. Thereafter, a tree came, forging its way through the earth, until it covered Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), after which it left and returned to its place.<\/p>\n

When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) awoke, I mentioned to him what had transpired. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cIt is a tree that asked its Rabb for permission to (come to me and) make Salaam to me.
