Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cIncrease the recitation of durood upon me on the illuminated night of Jumu\u2018ah and the radiant day of Jumu\u2018ah, as your durood is presented to me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Longing for the Companionship of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once, a Sahaabi (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) came to Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and said, \u201cO Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), you are dearer to me than my life, my wealth and my family. While I am within the confines of my home, I begin to think of you and become restless. My restlessness does not end until my sight falls upon you. O Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), death is inevitable. After death, you will be in a high, exalted position as you are a Nabi and Rasul of Allah Ta\u2018ala, whilst I will be distant from you. O Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), perhaps I may not be blessed with the honour of seeing you. Whenever I think of this separation between us which will be caused through death, I become extremely saddened and grieved.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) observed silence over this until Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) descended with the following verse of the Quraan Majeed:<\/p>\n
