The Hijrah of Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) \u2013 continued<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had escaped from the kuffaar and set out for the hijrah during the night. The following morning when Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) emerged from the home of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the disbelievers asked him regarding the whereabouts of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) told them that he did not know.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thereafter, Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) began returning all the amaanaat and trusts, which the people of Makkah had left in the safekeeping of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), to their owners. After fulfilling this responsibility, which was assigned to him by Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), he departed from Makkah Mukarramah on his journey of hijrah to Madinah Munawwarah. He would remain in hiding throughout the day and travel at night. Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had no animal to serve as a conveyance, and hence he performed his hijrah on foot.<\/p>\n

When Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) eventually arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was filled with joy and called for Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu). However, on account of the long journey which Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had made on foot, his feet had become swollen and were bleeding, due to which he was unable to walk. Thus, instead of him coming to Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) went to him, and on seeing the condition of his feet, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) began to tear out of compassion and sympathy.<\/p>\n

Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then placed some of his blessed saliva on his hands and thereafter applied it to the feet of Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu). Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) also made du\u2018aa for the feet of Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) to heal and recover from this injury.<\/p>\n

As a result of the blessed saliva of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) being applied to his feet, and Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) making du\u2018aa for his feet, Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) never again suffered with pain in his feet, until the day he was martyred.<\/p>\n
