The Hijrah of Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) \u2013 continued<\/strong><\/p>\n

After Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) left his home, undetected by the disbelievers, the disbelievers continued to wait outside his home, thinking that he was still inside.<\/p>\n

While they were waiting outside the home of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), a person came to them and asked, \u201cWho are you waiting for in this place?\u201d The disbelievers replied, \u201cWe are waiting for Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u201d The man exclaimed, \u201cMay Allah make you unsuccessful! By Allah! Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) has already left his home, and he has scattered sand on the head of every one of you. He has left and is going wherever he needs to go. Can you people not see what has happened to you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hearing this, the disbelievers placed their hands on their heads and found that the man was speaking the truth as there was sand on their heads. However, when they thereafter peeped into the home of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), and saw Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) sleeping on the bed of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), wearing the shawl of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), then they thought him to be Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hence, they were convinced that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had not yet left his home.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the disbelievers continued waiting outside the home of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) the entire night. It was only the following morning, when Hazrat \u2018Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) came out, that they realized that the man had spoken the truth. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had left his home, before their eyes, however on account of Allah Ta\u2018ala concealing Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), they were unable to see him pass by.<\/p>\n

Allah Ta\u2018ala revealed the following verse in the Qur\u2019aan Majeed, explaining how the disbelievers plotted to kill Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), and how Allah Ta\u2018ala had saved him:<\/p>\n

And remember (O Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)) when the disbelievers were conspiring against you, to hold you as a captive, or to kill you, or to expel you. They were planning, and Allah was planning, and Allah is the best of planners. (Surah Anfaal v. 30)<\/em><\/p>\n
