There is no need to worry, insha-Allah through this sickness, you will be cleansed and purified.<\/em><\/p>\n

N.B. You will be cleansed and purified means that you are merely undergoing a cleansing process. Spiritually, you are being cleansed from your sins, and physically, your body is being cleansed from toxins. Hence, when this sickness has come to you from Allah Ta\u2018ala as a mercy in disguise, then there is no need for you to worry and grieve.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) once visited a sick villager, and whenever he would visit the sick, he used to recite the following dua:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cWhoever recites the following dua seven times upon a sick person who is not destined to die in that sickness, Allah Ta\u2018ala will cure him from that sickness:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Sa\u2019eed (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) once visited Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and asked, \u201cO Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), are you feeling ill?\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied in the affirmative. Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) then recited the following dua:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports, \u201cRasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) once passed me while I was making this dua (due to my illness), \u2018O Allah, if my time (of death) has come, then grant me comfort (through death), and if it is to come after some time, then raise (the sickness from) me, and if it is a test, then grant me patience through it.\u2019 Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) hit me with his leg and made the following dua, after which I did not perceive any pain from that illness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Fuzail bin Amr (rahimahullah) reports that a person once came to Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and said, \u201cSo-and-so is feeling sick.\u201d Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) asked, \u201cWill it please you that he recovers from his illness?\u201d The person replied in the affirmative. Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) advised him to recite the following dua:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports: \u201cRasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) once came to visit me when I was sick. He said to me, \u2018Should I not treat you by reciting those words which Hazrat Jibreel (\u2018alaihis salaam) brought to me (when I was sick)?\u2019 I replied, \u2018May my parents be sacrificed for you, definitely, O Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u2019 Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then recited the following dua thrice:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
