Sunnah Occasions of Ghusl<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are numerous occasions when it is sunnah for one to perform ghusl. Some of these occasions are:<\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cWhen any of you come for Jumuah then he should perform ghusl.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Zaadhaan (rahimahullah) reports that on one occasion, a certain person asked Sayyiduna Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) regarding (when he should perform) ghusl. Sayyiduna Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) replied, \u201cYou may perform ghusl daily if you wish.\u201d The person then asked, \u201c(I am asking about) the ghusl which is the most important ghusl.\u201d Sayyiduna Ali (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) answered, \u201c(The most important occasions of ghusl are) the Day of Jumuah, the Day of Arafah, the Day of Eidul Adha and the Day of Eidul Fitr.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Naafi\u2019 (rahimahullah) reports that when Sayyiduna Ibnu Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) used to go to Makkah Mukarramah, he used to spend the night in Zi Tuwaa. In the morning he used to make ghusl and enter Makkah Mukarramah during the day and he would mention that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) would do the same.<\/em><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Apart from these sunnah occasions of ghusl, there are certain mustahab occasions of ghusl which are mentioned by the Fuqahaa. Among these occasions are:<\/p>\n

There are numerous occasions when it is sunnah for one to perform ghusl.
