Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cMost of the punishment (meted out to most people) in the grave will be on account of urine (i.e. being unmindful regarding urine splashes and impurities. Therefore, their wudhu, salaah and other ibaadaat will not gain acceptance due to remaining impure).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Anas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cRefrain from urine (i.e. being soiled with urine splashes), for indeed most of the punishment (meted out to most people) in the grave will be on account of urine (i.e. being unmindful regarding urine splashes and impurities).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Abu Umaamah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cRefrain from urine splashes (when relieving yourself), for indeed this will be the first thing the servant will be taken to account for in the grave.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) once passed by two graves, and then (in reference to these two graves,) he said, \u201cThe inmates of these two graves are being punished, and they are not being punished for something that was major (difficult for them to refrain from). As for one of them, he would not refrain from urine splashes. As for the other, he used to carry tales (thereby causing mischief and corruption among people).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
