When departing, Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) took with him all the money that he possessed at that time, which was approximately five thousand dirhams, so that he could use it to assist Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) in the path of Allah Ta\u2018ala.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>In this manner, Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) did not leave any wealth behind for his family. However, their Imaan and level of reliance on Allah Ta\u2018ala was such that despite not having anything, they were pleased and had full conviction that Allah Ta\u2018ala will take care of their needs.<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Asmaa (radhiyallahu \u2018anha), the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), reports:<\/p>\n<p>When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) departed on the journey of hijrah, and Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) departed with him, then Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) took all the wealth he possessed with him. This amounted to five or six thousand dirhams.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving, my grandfather (i.e. the father of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu)), Abu Quhaafah, came to our home to visit us. At that time, he had lost his sight and was blind. He said to us, \u201cBy Allah! I think that he (referring to Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu)) must have put you into difficulty by taking all the wealth with him!\u201d Hearing this, I said, \u201cNever, O my grandfather! He has left abundant wealth for us!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I then took some stones, placed them in a niche within the home where my father would keep his wealth, and placed a cloth over the stones. Thereafter, I took his hand and said, \u201cO my grandfather! Place your hand here and feel this wealth!\u201d Hearing this, he placed his hand on the cloth. Thinking the stones to be coins, Abu Quhaafah said, \u201cVery well! If he has left this for you then he has done well! This amount will suffice you for quite some time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Asmaa (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) thereafter mentioned, \u201cBy Allah! Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had not left any wealth for us.
