1. The Day of Qiyaamah will take place on a Friday. This will be the last day of this world. Allah Ta’ala will destroy this entire universe. Besides Allah Ta’ala, nobody knows the exact date when the universe will come to an end.[1]\n

2. Allah Ta’ala will instruct Hazrat Israafeel (\u2018alaihis salaam) to blow the soor (trumpet) which is shaped like a horn. The sound of the trumpet will initially be soft, but it will continue increasing in volume, until the sound will be so loud and frightening that it will cause every living person or creature to die.[2]\n

3. The earth will be struck by tremors. The mountains will move and be reduced to smithereens. They will then become like flakes of cotton wool which will fly about. The sun and moon will collide and be destroyed. The stars will fragment and fall to the earth, losing their lustre. The entire universe will then be destroyed.[3]\n

4. The entire creation of angels, man, jinn, animals and all other creatures will be destroyed.[1]\n

5. After everything dies, a period of time will pass after which Allah Ta’ala will give life to Hazrat Israafeel (\u2018alaihis salaam) and instruct him to blow the soor for the second time. The period between the two blowings of the soor will be forty years.[4]\n

6. With the second blowing of the soor, everything will come back into existence and Qiyaamah will commence.[5]\n
