{"id":14825,"date":"2020-02-17T16:25:04","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T14:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/?p=14825"},"modified":"2020-03-08T07:44:47","modified_gmt":"2020-03-08T05:44:47","slug":"the-severe-consequence-of-ill-treating-ones-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/?p=14825","title":{"rendered":"The Severe Consequence of Ill-Treating One\u2019s Parents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/parents.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-14838\" src=\"http:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/parents.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/parents.jpg 258w, https:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/parents-190x127.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On one occasion, an elderly man came to Hazrat Sheikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) and complained to him saying, \u201cI am now advanced in age, yet my son beat me and dragged me for some distance, kicking me out of the house.\u201d Hearing this, Hazrat Sheikh (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) sympathized with the man and made du\u2018aa for him.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, Hazrat Sheikh (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) addressed a person, who was also present when the elderly man had come, saying, \u201cWhen a person ill-treats his parents, then apart from being punished in the Hereafter, he will also be punished in this world. Therefore, enquire from people who know him, and who are of his age or older, in regard to the manner in which he had treated his father. It is most likely that he had ill-treated his father in the same way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following week, after making the enquiry, the person returned and said, \u201cHazrat! What you mentioned is absolutely correct! He had beaten his father in the same manner.
