Hence, Allah Ta\u2018ala speaks of istiqaamat. Istiqaamat is normally translated as steadfastness, but the closest translation would be \u2018commitment\u2019. Commitment will mean that at any given time one has the thought and concern of that particular thing in his mind.<\/p>\n<p>In proportion to one\u2019s commitment, Allah Ta\u2018ala opens out avenues and ways. A person shows commitment to his wife whose favours are limited and likewise the enjoyment received from her is also limited.
