Hazrat Muaadh bin Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said: \u201cWhoever eats food and thereafter recites the following Duaa, his previous and future (minor) sins will be forgiven.<\/em><\/p>\n

O Allah, I ask You (to bless me) with the good of it (i.e. the benefits that are contained in it) and (I ask You to bless me with) the good for which it has been created (i.e. the purpose of it being created that it makes me grateful and gains me Your closeness), and I seek Your protection from the evil of it (i.e. the harms that are contained in it) and the evil for which it has been created (i.e. it should not be ungrateful and cause me to be distanced from you). <\/em><\/p>\n
