In the Qur\u2019aan Majeed, Allah Ta\u2018ala had referred to them as the \u2018Mothers of the Believers\u2019 and the Ahl-e-Bayt of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). The Saahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) held them in the highest esteem and showed them the highest level of respect and honor. Below is an incident which demonstrates the true honor which the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) showed the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat.<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Abu Salamah (rahimahullah), the son of Hazrat \u2018Abdur Rahmaan bin \u2018Auf (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), reports that Hazrat \u2018Aa\u2019ishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) said:<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) would at times address the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat (radhiyallahu \u2018anhunna) saying, \u201cI am concerned about your welfare after my demise, and it is only people of great piety and generosity who will endure the responsibility of seeing to your needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat \u2018Abdur Rahmaan bin \u2018Auf (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) was among the blessed Sahaabah who took it upon himself to look after the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hence, he had sold one of his orchards for forty thousand and thereafter gifted the entire amount to the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), the Ummahaat-ul-Mu\u2019mineen (mothers of the believers).<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat \u2018Aa\u2019ishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) then addressed Hazrat Abu Salamah (rahimahullah) and mentioned, \u201cMay Allah Ta\u2018ala bless your father, Hazrat \u2018Abdur Rahmaan bin \u2018Auf (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), to drink from the spring in Jannah named Salsabeel on account of the generosity that he showed us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>(Sunan Tirmizi #3749)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat (the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)) were from among the Ahl-e-Bayt of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).
