He says:<\/p>\n<p>A person once came to my father, \u2018Ali bin Husain (rahimahullah), who was famously known as Zainul \u2018Aabideen (rahimahullah), and said, \u201cTell me about Abu Bakr.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zainul \u2018Aabideen (rahimahullah) replied, \u201cAre you asking me regarding Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu)?\u201dWhen the man heard Zainul \u2018Aabideen (rahimahullah) show respect and honor to Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) by referring to him with the title \u2018Siddeeq\u2019, the man asked, \u201cAre you calling him \u2018Siddeeq\u2019? I don\u2019t regard him to be Siddeeq.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zainul \u2018Aabideen (rahimahullah) realized that this man had an ill opinion of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu). He thus addressed him saying, \u201cWoe to you! The people who were better than me all referred to him with the title \u2018Siddeeq\u2019! They were Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and his illustrious Sahaabah from among the Muhaajireen and the Ansaar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum). When Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) himself honored him with the title Siddeeq then I will definitely call him by this title. If any person does not accept this title and refuses to afford Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) this title of respect, then may Allah Ta\u2018ala not make such a person true and not accept any of his \u2018ibaadaat.
