Hazrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that on one occasion, after Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) ate and were satiated, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) enumerated the varieties of food they had eaten by saying: \u201c(We have been granted) bread, meat, semi-ripe dates, dry dates, and fresh dates.\u201d After enumerating the varieties of food, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) began to cry (out of gratitude to Allah Ta\u2018ala), and thereafter said, \u201cAll these are the bounties of Allah Ta\u2018ala regarding which you will be questioned on the day of Qiyaamah.\u201d This statement of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) greatly concerned the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) (as they feared accountability in the court of Allah Ta\u2018ala). Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then said: \u201cWhen you obtain such food and intend to partake of it, then commence eating by taking the name of Allah Ta\u2019ala saying: \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n
