\"\"<\/a>Hazrat Khaalid (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) continued:<\/p>\n

When my father learnt that I had embraced Islam, he beat me so severely that my head was wounded. He broke a stick on my head and said, \u201cYou are following Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) who has opposed all the people! He speaks ill of our deities and depicts our forefathers as stupid and ignorant.\u201d I responded, \u201cBy Allah! Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) is absolutely true in what he is saying!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

My father was angered even further. He hurled abuse at me, swore at me and said, \u201cYou wretch! Get away from me! By Allah, I will cut off your food and drink!\u201d I replied, \u201cIf you deprive me of food, Allah Ta\u2018ala will provide me with sustenance.\u201d Upon this, my father expelled me from his house and said to his children, \u201cNobody should speak to him! Whoever speaks to him will receive the same treatment!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hazrat Khaalid (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) subsequently left his father\u2019s door and came to the door of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) showed great honor to Hazrat Khaalid (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).<\/p>\n

A man does not bring dishonor to himself by leaving the door of any person. However, if he has to leave the door of Allah and His Rasul (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then he won\u2019t be able to find honor anywhere. Allah Ta\u2018ala declares, \u201cAnd to Allah alone is honor, and (thereafter, honor is blessed from the side of Allah) to His Rasul (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.\u201d<\/p>\n

From this verse, it is clear that honor lies in bringing Imaan whilst there is nothing but humiliation in disbelief. There is no possibility whatsoever of honor being found in disbelief.<\/p>\n

Hazrat Khaalid (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) says:<\/p>\n

Once, my father fell seriously ill. In his illness, he took a vow saying, \u201cIf Allah allows me to recover from this illness, I will not allow that deity to be worshipped in Makkah Mukarramah which Muhammed (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) commands the people to worship.\u201d I made du\u2018aa to Allah Ta\u2018ala saying, \u201cO Allah! Since my father does not wish to accept Islam and is determined to oppose Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), do not allow him to recover from this illness.\u201d As a result, my father died in this illness.<\/p>\n
