\"\"<\/a>The Shias hold the belief that Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and Hazrat \u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) turned apostate after the demise of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) -may Allah Ta\u2019ala forbid.<\/p>\n

Mullah Baaqir Majlisi, a prominent Shia scholar of the eleventh century, has written the following in his book, Haqqul Yaqeen:<\/p>\n

Regarding the doctrine of \u2018Tabarri\u2019 (disassociating from the enemies of Allah Ta\u2018ala), we believe that we should seek disassociation from four idols, namely Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Mu\u2019awiyah; and from four women, namely Aa\u2019ishah, Hafsah, Hind and Ummul Hakam, along with all their associates and followers. These are the worst creation of Allah. It is not possible to believe in Allah, His Messenger and the Imaams without disassociating oneself from their enemies. (Haqqul Yaqeen 2\/519)<\/p>\n

It is the belief of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa\u2019ah that the greatest person in this ummah was Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), followed by Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and thereafter Hazrat \u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).<\/p>\n

Hazrat \u2018Abdullah bin Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) mentioned, \u201cWhilst Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam ) was alive amongst us, we would say (and Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) would not object, but approve of what we were saying), \u2018The greatest person of the ummah after Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) is Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), thereafter Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), and then Hazrat Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
