\u201cO Allah! Shower Your special mercies upon Muhammad (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) and his family and companions, accompanied by blessings and peace.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

According to some people, Muhammad means, \u2018that being in whom praiseworthy qualities and commendable attributes are found to the highest level of perfection\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Abu Taalib would often recite the following stanza:<\/p>\n

\u201cAllah has taken his (Muhammad\u2019s) name from His own name so that he may honor and exalt him. So the Being of the throne is Mahmood whilst this is Muhammad.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Ahmad:<\/strong>\u00a0This means the most praiseworthy person. Indisputably, Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) is the most praiseworthy in the entire creation. Nobody is more praiseworthy than him and nobody will ever be. It can also refer to the one who praises and glorifies Allah Ta\u2018ala the most.<\/p>\n

Appellation (Kunyat):<\/strong>\u00a0The most well known appellation of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was Abul Qaasim (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), kept after his eldest son, Hazrat Qaasim (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu). The second appellation of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) was Abu Ebrahim (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam). Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) relates that when Hazrat Ebrahim (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) was born to Hazrat Maariyah Qibtiyyah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha), Hazrat Jibraa\u2019eel (\u2018alaihis salaam) appeared before Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) addressing him thus, \u201cMay peace be upon you, O Abu Ebrahim (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)!\u201d<\/p>\n
