The Quraish opposed him but their resistance and opposition did not concern him. Carrying his pick and shovel, he set out with his son, Haarith, and commenced digging at the designated spot. \u2018Abdul Muttalib would go on digging while Haarith would collect and dispose of the sand. On the third day, he came across a deep hole. Out of extreme delight, he burst out chanting \u201cAllahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!\u201d He then happily remarked:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"font-family: 'traditional arabic'; font-size: 16pt; text-align: center;\">\u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0637\u0648\u0649 \u0627\u0633\u0645\u0670\u0639\u064a\u0644<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cThis is evidently the well of Ismaa\u2018eel (\u2018alaihis salaam).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>\u2018Abdul Muttalib thereafter constructed a few ponds close to the well of Zam Zam. He would fill these with Zam Zam water which he would provide to the pilgrims. However, during the hours of darkness, some jealous people would maliciously cause damage to these ponds. \u2018Abdul Muttalib would then have to repair the damage early the next morning. Upset over these recurring, nasty acts, \u2018Abdul Muttalib implored Allah Ta\u2018ala in du\u2018aa. He was divinely instructed in a dream to recite the following du\u2018aa:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"font-family: 'traditional arabic'; font-size: 16pt; text-align: center;\">\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u0670\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0651\u064e \u0627\u0646\u064a \u0644\u0627 \u0627\u062d\u0644\u0647\u0627 \u0644\u0645\u063a\u062a\u0633\u0644 \u0648\u0644\u0643\u0646 \u0647\u064a \u0644\u0634\u0627\u0631\u0628 \u062d\u0644<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cO Allah! I do not render the water of Zam Zam Halaal for bathing. Rather, it is permitted only for drinking purposes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The very next morning, \u2018Abdul Muttalib publicly announced this verdict. Thereafter, whoever attempted to damage any of the ponds would fall prey to some ailment or the other.
