Caution – Ihyaaud Deen https://ihyaauddeen.co.za An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality Wed, 21 Mar 2018 14:21:30 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.4.2 Keeping Good Intentions when Delivering a Sermon https://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=11916 Wed, 21 Mar 2018 14:21:30 +0000 http://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=11916 عن مالك بن دينار عن الحسن قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم ما من عبد يخطب خطبة إلا الله عز و جل سائله عنها أظنه قال ما أراد بها.

Hazrat Maalik bin Dinaar (Rahimahullah) reports from Hazrat Hasan Basri (Rahimahullah) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whichever servant of Allah Ta’ala delivers a khutba (sermon) before people, Allah Ta’ala will question him regarding it.” The narrator says, “I think the meaning of this Hadith is that Allah Ta’ala will question him regarding his intention at the time of delivering the khutbah.”

Ja’far (Rahimahullah) relates that when Hazrat Maalik bin Dinaar (Rahimahullah) would relate this Hadith, he would cry so profusely until he was unable to speak, and he would then say: “Do you think that I feel pleased and easy to deliver a lecture before you? Whereas I know that Allah Ta’ala will question me on the day of Qiyaamah regarding my intention for delivering the discourse before you.”

Wishing Well and Advising Each Other in the Knowledge of Deen https://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=10548 Sat, 10 Feb 2018 04:51:55 +0000 http://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=10548 وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال تناصحوا في العلم فإن خيانة أحدكم في علمه أشد من خيانته في ماله وإن الله مسائلكم رواه الطبراني في الكبير أيضا ورواته ثقات إلا أبا سعيد البقال واسمه سعيد بن المرزبان فيه خلاف يأتي (الترغيب والترهيب 1/167)

Hazrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Wish well and advise each other in regard to (learning and imparting) the knowledge of Deen, for certainly it is far worse for one to deceive someone in the knowledge of Deen than deceive him in his wealth. Indeed Allah Ta’ala will question you (regarding Deen and the knowledge of Deen).”
