Men of Deception

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “At the end of time (close to Qiyaamah) such men will make an appearance who will seek the dunya through actions of the Aakhirah. They will wear woolen clothing for show in trying to express their piety and abstinence of the world before people. Their tongues (their speech) will be sweeter than honey (in their approach and in trying to sway people towards them), and their hearts will be like the hearts of wolves (in the love of the world and in harbouring evil towards the pious). Allah Ta’ala will say: “Are they being deceived (in thinking that they will not receive my punishment) on account of Me granting them respite, or are they being bold through opposing Me (and deceiving my servants with their external piety)? I take a qasm upon My Being, I will inflict upon them (such a punishment in the form of) trials, which will cause the wise and learned amongst them to become confused and bewildered.

Receiving Seventy Rewards

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
