All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala. Such praises that are plentiful, pure and full of blessings. O our Rabb, (we are not lifting up this food from the dastarkhaan) and praising You considering our praises to be sufficient or the last time we are praising You (as we will be in need of this bounty (i.e. food and drink) after a short interval, or considering ourselves not in need of thanking and praising You.

Hadhrat Salmaan Farsi (Radhiallahu Anhu) narrates: “I read in the Taurah that the blessings of food lie in washing the hands after meals. I mentioned this to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
