Du’aa to recite when night approaches while travelling

While travelling, when night approaches, one should recite the following du‘aa:

يَا أَرْضُ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكِ اللَّهُ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّكِ وَشَرِّ مَا فِيكِ، وَشَرِّ مَا خُلِقَ فِيكِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَدِبُّ عَلَيْكِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ أَسَدٍ وَأَسْوَدَ، وَمِنِ الْحَيَّةِ وَالْعَقْرَبِ، وَمِنْ سَاكِنِ الْبَلَدِ، وَمِنْ وَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ

O earth, my Rabb and your Rabb is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah Ta‘ala from your evil, the evil of what is contained within you, the evil of what is created within you and the evil of the creatures which crawl upon you. I seek refuge in Allah Ta‘ala from lions and large black snakes, and from (other) snakes and from scorpions, and from the evil of (men) who reside in the town, and the evil of Iblees and his progeny.

عن عبد الله بن عمر، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا سافر فأقبل الليل قال: يا أرض ربي وربك الله، أعوذ بالله من شرك وشر ما فيك، وشر ما خلق فيك، ومن شر ما يدب عليك، وأعوذ بالله من أسد وأسود، ومن الحية والعقرب، ومن ساكن البلد، ومن والد وما ولد (سنن أبي داود رقم 2603)

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports, “When Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) used to travel and night would approach, he would recite the following du‘aa:
